This is just a glimpse into my fabric stash .

I absolutely love the fact that in Philadelphia we have so many discount fabric stores.

Dress # 6

I had extra fabric left over from dress #5 so I made this lovely skirt I used Newlook 6977
Don't you just love when that happens?  I bought three yards of fabric for $2.99 a yd so for $9.00 I
have a dress and a skirt.

Dress # 6

I used the same pattern as dress #5 simplicity 3673.
I wanted to make this dress over in a solid color so you can see all the details in the dress, I added three
pleats to the bodice front because for some reason it was really roomy.
I did'nt measure properly.  That's the reason. I must say I really like the way this dress fits.

Dress # 5

I finally crossed over into the Retro world and I'm loving it. I have been a fan of sew retro for such a long time. I really like the way this dress fits. I used a Cotton fabric with a little stretch to it.  I'm not a big fan of lining so I used bias tape around arms.

Dress # 4

I'm on a roll now. Just completed dress #4. I really like the way this dress turned out. This Vogue pattern 7709 from the easy collection was very easy to make. When I first started sewing everyone I know that sews warned me to stay away from Vogue patterns they said they were very complicated I haven't found them that complicated yet.

Dress #3

Hay everyone I'm on a roll now. I Just completed dress #3 getting all ready for spring and summer mentally I'm already there.

 I really like the way way this dress turned out. I didn't use a lining so I had to alter the bodice.

Dress #2

I haven't posted anything in a while. I have to get use to sewing and blogging at the same time.
I have had plenty of time to sew with this harsh winter we've been experiencing. So I'm  kinda dissapointed that I dont have more garments to display. The snow is finally melting. Thank GOD.

New Year New Projects

Today I decided to start a blog after many weeks of viewing all the wonderful and inspiring blogs out there. I'm fresh out of the gate so please enjoy my projects. My first dress of the new year has me looking forward to spring. Vogue 8645
